Raquel’s retreat teaching style – Tantra & Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Breath Coach
Raquel Alves began teaching in 1992 and holds qualifications in Para Yoga (Rod Stryker), BWY and Sivananda. She’s also a CCB-Breath Coach.
Originally from Africa, she now resides in the UK. Her teaching style blends various styles with a strong focus on Tantra, incorporating her years of Ashtanga practice and Iyengar yoga. Restorative relaxation techniques, meditation, Kriyas, Mudras, breathing techniques and occasionally chanting are also used. Classes explore themes related to daily life or yoga philosophy.
Her practice is influenced by her current teacher’s teachings and she assists him when he teaches in Europe. As a 500 hour Yoga Alliance E-RYT (senior teacher), she also tutors and mentors on the Yoga Campus Teacher Training Programme.
Raquel brings a wealth of knowledge to her teaching, paying close attention to alignment and empowering her students to have fun and explore their inner selves.
